Dr. Adam Summers, MD

Adam N. Summers, MD, is a highly-experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. A proud member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Summers specializes in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, including short scar breast enhancement and Threadlift facelifts.

Dr. Summers is an innovator and leader in his field. He was the first to perform a successful series of breast reconstruction procedures using revolutionary microsurgical techniques at Anne Arundel Medical Center and he has published articles on innovative suture suspension facelift techniques. He is also renowned for his artistry and has had his graphic artwork displayed at the National Library of Medicine. Dr. Summers has won national awards for his research in plastic surgery and he has been featured in many publications, such as the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and Womans Day, and in television programs, including Washingtons WUSA-9 News and Baltimores FOX-45 TV.

Dr. Summers is the founder of the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center, home of the regions first integrated medical spa, laser center and ambulatory center with both dermatology and plastic surgery clinics. His MediSpa exceeds OSHA standards for safety, sterilization and infection control and has received numerous accolades reflective of its state-of-the-art approach to cosmetic surgery and skin care therapies. The procedures offered at the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center include breast surgery (breast lift, breast augmentation, breast reduction), body contouring (body lift, liposuction, tummy tuck), facial enhancements (threadlift, facelift, rhinoplasty, eyelid lift), skin rejuvenation (Botox, chemical peels, microdermabrasion), injectable fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesee, Sculptra) and a number of laser procedures (fraxel, laser hair removal, laser resurfacing, and fotofacial procedures).

Adam N. Summers, MD earned his Doctorate of Medicine from St. Louis University School of Medicine, graduating with Honors and Distinction in Research. After medical school, Dr. Summers completed his general and plastic surgery residencies at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He later completed a fellowship in microvascular and hand surgery with an emphasis on reconstructive breast surgery, before concluding his surgical training with a cosmetic surgery fellowship through Aesthetic Surgery Associates.

Dr. Summers is committed to the pursuit of a continued education in the latest and most innovative plastic surgery treatments and technologies. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland. He is often invited to lecture at symposiums around the country, helping to train and educate the surgeons and healthcare professionals about advances in plastic surgery.
