Mitchell Shultz, MD, received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego and his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed his internship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Irvine, where he was chosen as Chief Resident his final year. Dr. Shultz then underwent fellowship training in refractive surgery at the renowned Instituto Zaldivar in Argentina. Over the course of his career, spanning more than 15 years, Dr. Shultz has received numerous honors for his achievements, including being named one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologist” for more than 10 years running. He is a Peer Review Editor for Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today and has authored many published articles. Dr. Shultz is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
