Dr. Roy S. Rubinfeld, MD

Roy S. Rubinfeld, MD, received his medical degree at Downstate Medical College and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center where he was appointed Chief Resident. He completed his specialty fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Rubinfeld is well known for his expertise in refractive surgery, is routinely interviewed in national and international media, and has been selected as “Best Doctors in Washington” by Washingtonian Magazine. He is a coveted speaker and has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally about advances in vision correction surgery. He has personally performed more than 20,000 laser vision correction procedures and is in high demand to teach other surgeons about advances in vision correction surgery. Dr. Rubinfeld has had laser vision correction performed on himself in 1995 and thus has a unique understanding from a patient’s perspective. In 1998 he performed LASIK on his wife and they are still married. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
