Dr. Thomas Campen, MD

Thomas Campen, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive surgery, including LASIK and PRK. Over the course of his career Dr. Campen has successfully performed more than 25,000 LASIK procedures across the country in affiliation with LASIK Plus and the Laser Vision Institute. Dr. Campen is also certified in internal medicine and has completed extensive post-doctorate fellowship training at some of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country, including the UC San Diego School of Medicine, the Salk Institute, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. He is currently on staff at St. Josephs/Candler Hospitals.

Thomas Campen, MD, obtained his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina. He then studied at the University of Freiburg in Germany and participated in research at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Campen completed his medical internship in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky and St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, and his residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He continued his education with a residency in ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and fellowship training at the Louisiana State University Medical Center. Dr. Campen is affiliated with many professional organizations.
