Dr. Frederick Fraunfelder, M.D.,

Frederick Fraunfelder, M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University. He completed an emergency medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington Medical Center. His specialty training includes a fellowship in corneal disease, refractive surgery and ocular oncology (eye cancer).

In addition to his vision correction expertise, Dr. Fraunfelder has an interest in the effects of drugs on vision and the eye. He directs the National Registry of Drug-Induced Ocular Side Effects, an international database monitoring pharmaceutical effects, and is co-author of the books Drug-Induced Ocular Side Effects and Current Ocular Therapy; both are physician references currently in their sixth edition. Dr. Fraunfelder is a Professor at the Oregon Health and Science University.
