About
Rebecca S. Walker, MD, FACS, received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan. Dr. Walker next traveled to St. Louis where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Washington University, School of Medicine. During her time there, Dr. Walker was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Following graduation, she received her ophthalmology training at Washington University and Barnes Hospital, ranked as one of US News & World Report’s Top 10 Ophthalmology programs. After completing her residency training, Dr. Walker remained at Barnes Hospital where she served as a faculty member. She later participated in a year-long fellowship program in the field of glaucoma at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Walker is a diplomat, fellow and board-examiner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a distinguished honor bestowed upon the most experienced surgeons by their peers.
