Dr. Jacob Moore, MD

Jacob Moore, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who strives to provide his patients with quality medical care and optimal vision correction results. He has successfully performed thousands of LASIK eye surgeries and offers the latest in laser vision correction. In recognition of his surgical skills and unsurpassed patient care, Dr. Moore has been named one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Vice President of the Cameron County Medical Society. Dr. Moore is a distinguished scholar whose research contributions have earned him an excellent reputation among his peers.

In addition to laser eye surgery, Dr. Moore offers the latest cataract surgery procedures. He also provides treatment for a range of corneal diseases and was one of the eye surgeons in the State of Texas to use an advanced corneal transplant technique known as Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK).

Jacob Moore, MD, completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University and his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine. He served an ophthalmology internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was selected as Chief resident his final year. Dr. Moore is affiliated with numerous medical associations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Texas Ophthalmological Association and the Texas Medical Association.
