Dr. Aasim Kamal, MD

Aasim Kamal, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has completed specialty fellowship training in refractive surgery and neuro-ophthalmology. In addition, he trained under several highly revered pioneers in ophthalmology. Dr. Kamal boasts a surgical record of more than 25,000 successful refractive surgery procedures, including thousands of LASIK procedures. As a testament to his surgical expertise and outstanding skills, he has earned a reputation for excellence in LASIK surgery throughout the Phoenix area.

In order to address the unique refractive surgery needs of every patient, Dr. Kamal offers several forms of LASIK surgery, including traditional LASIK and Custom LASIK. In addition, Southwestern Eye Center offers comprehensive eye care, including eye exams, glaucoma treatment, cataracts surgery, cornea transplants, retinal detachment surgery and oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Aasim Kamal is a double fellowship trained refractive surgery specialist and has performed over 25,000 refractive surgeries. He is certified on many Lasers and Keratomes. He then performed three fellowship training programs: one in neuro-ophthalmology and two in refractive surgery. Dr. Kamal has written several published journal articles and is a member of numerous medical organizations.
