Dr. Alexandra Christine Chebil, MD

Alexandra Chebil, MD, FRCSC, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been performing LASIK and cataract surgery procedures for more than two decades. She has helped over 40,000 patients achieve near-perfect vision through the latest technologies and techniques in LASIK laser vision correction. Dr. Chebil strives to offer her patients world-class vision care and has therefore undergone extensive post-graduate training at renowned institutions of higher learning, including UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. She has participated in many laser eye surgery clinical trials and is a well-known educator who is frequently asked to train other eye surgeons. In recognition of her surgical skills and expertise, Dr. Chebil has been featured on the Learning Channel, Fox TV-LA and LifeTime.

Dr. Chebil was among the first eye surgeons in the world to recognize the safety and accuracy of laser vision correction and has performed the procedure on her own family members. She is well-versed in an array of laser vision correction procedures, including Custom Wavefront LASIK, Bladeless LASIK, PRK, Epi-LASIK and LASEK. In addition, Dr. Chebil offers cosmetic eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing and Botox injections.

Alexandra Chebil, MD, FRCSC, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and her medical degree from the University of Montreal. She completed a medical internship at the University of Montreal Hotel Dieu Hospital, where she also served a residency in ophthalmology. Dr. Chebil underwent additional clinical training at several local medical centers, including Maisonneuve Rosemont, Notre Dame Hospital and Sainte Justine Hospital. She is certified in a wide range of leading-edge laser vision correction technologies, including VISX, Wavelight Allegretto, Bausch and Lomb Zyoptic, Summit and Nidek. Dr. Chebil is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Orange County Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
