Dr. Ellen Mahony, MD

Ellen A. Mahony, MD, FACS, is a female plastic surgeon in Connecticut who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is widely recognized for her surgical skill, years of experience and keen eye for aesthetics. Dr. Mahony uses a multi-disciplinary approach to help her patients achieve sensational appearance-enhancing results. Ellen A. Mahony, MD, FACS, received a degree in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut and masters in international healthcare from Yale University. After designing and implementing a nationalized healthcare system in East Africa, Dr. Mahony returned to the United States, where she obtained her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and was among the few female plastic surgeons to be invited to enter the university’s general surgery residency. She continued her training at the University of Pennsylvania with a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as a fellowship program in hand and microsurgery. Dr. Mahony is the founder of Women in Power, a business development organization, which sponsors educational seminars and networking opportunities for professional women in Connecticut and New York.. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a proud member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
