John C. Kois, DMD, MSD, received his doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. He then earned a certificate in periodontal prosthodontics with a Master of Science degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Dr. Kois is an affiliate professor in the graduate restorative program at the University of Washington and continues to lecture nationally and internationally on various topics in dentistry. The respected dentist has received numerous awards, including the 2002 Saul Schluger Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning. He was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from both the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Kois previously served as president for the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is also the director and founder of the Kois Center, a didactic and clinical dental program that focuses on the latest advances in cosmetic, implant and restorative dentistry.
