Randy Burks, MD, FACS, earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy. He received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine and did basic science coursework in ophthalmology at Harvard University. He went on to complete an ophthalmology residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eye. Dr. Burks formerly served as Director of Residency Training for the USAF, and he has served in a variety of other teaching positions. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Burks is proud to donate his time to medical missions throughout the world.
