Raymond P. Gailitis, MD, FACS, received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and attended graduate school at Warnborough College in Oxford, England. He completed his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. Dr. Gailitis also did a fellowship in refractive surgery at Emory University and received certification to become an FDA instructor as well as a mentor for both LADARVision and VISX. Dr. Gailitis provides instruction on new refractive surgery techniques and technologies to fellow surgeons in the U.S. as well as internationally. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology and he is a member of medical societies such as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
