Richard Bensimon, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with fellowship training in cosmetic surgery. Over the course of his career, Dr. Bensimon has become an expert in numerous surgical techniques and is now a leading authority on skin-sparing mastectomy, an advanced breast reconstruction procedure that helps plastic surgeons to achieve better-quality results. He is also a pioneer and internationally recognized expert in the Hetter Peel, a revolutionary chemical peel technique that leads to smoother, healthier skin. Apart from his private practice, Dr. Bensimon has served as the surgical director for a refugee camp hospital near the Thailand-Cambodia border.

Dr. Bensimon provides a variety of face, body and breast procedures, including facelift, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, liposuction and breast augmentation. Richard Bensimon, MD, graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He continued his education with a surgery internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He later performed his plastic surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, also in New York City. Currently, Dr. Bensimon is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Connecticut Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgeons.
