Richard M. Kanter, DMD, FAGD, earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania and served in the United States Air Force before beginning his private practice at North Pointe with Dr. Pross. Dr. Kanter has completed thousands of hours of continuing education courses, and is certified in sleep studies. He is also a post-graduate student at the renowned L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a founding member of the Tampa chapter of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Kanter is a past president of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Florida Academy of General Dentistry. He serves as an elected trustee of the national Academy of General Dentistry.
