Dr. Srini Mutyala, MD

Srini Mutyala, MD, is one of South Florida’s most experienced LASIK surgeons. A board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea and laser vision correction surgery specialist, Dr. Mutyala has performed more than 20,000 LASIK procedures over the course of his career.

Dr. Mutyala is a nationally renowned leader in the field refractive surgery who has been recognized in Consumers’ Research Council of America’s “America’s Top Ophthalmologists.” He has authored a number of articles focusing on advances in laser eye surgery for such peer-reviewed medical journals as the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has also presented his research at many ophthalmology conferences in the U.S. and internationally.

Dr. Mutyala feels strongly about the transformative effects of laser vision correction and is closely involved in each patient’s care, from preoperative appointments to postoperative follow-up treatment. People travel from throughout South Florida, including Weston, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, to see Dr. Mutyala. Dr. Mutyala completed an accelerated undergraduate and medical program at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He was chosen to perform his residency in ophthalmology at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. Dr. Mutyala also completed an advanced fellowship in cornea and laser eye surgery under the direction of legendary eye surgeon Marguerite McDonald, MD, the first doctor to perform laser vision correction. He is a member of several major ophthalmology societies, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
